The 8th Conference
Hotel Investment
Hotel Westin
8 June 2017
Al. Jana Pawła II 21, Warsaw, Westin Hotel

The changes taking place in the sector globally are certainly set to have an impact on the local hotel market, so it is crucial that hotel owners in Central and Eastern Europe know how best to react. The 8th Eurobuild Hotel Investment conference is the ideal place to discuss all of this, as well as to find out what to do to make a project successful or to sell it on at a profit. During the event we will discuss the smallest details necessary for increasing the number of guests in a hotel and for the investor to generate higher profits. Market representatives will also outline the demographic changes that are affecting the market. In addition to this, we will also attempt to pinpoint those locations where there is still a shortage of hotels and the type of hotels they need. Advocates and opponents of big brands will debate whether taking the step of joining a well-known chain helps a hotel to succeed – or whether it simply leads to an increase in costs. We will also find out why a relatively large number of brands unsigned by the largest chains have recently emerged.

The changing landscape of the CEE hotel market as global players consolidate (Discussion)

How will the market change after the consolidation of the largest players? What global changes will affect the local market? What can local players do in order not to lose their market positions? How will the changes at the top affect the guests of Polish hotels and those in Central and Eastern Europe? What other acquisitions are possible?

Exiting an investment (Discussion)

How to make sure you sell your project with a satisfactory rate of return? Is the current climate favourable for purchase and sale transactions? Should you be thinking about the sale as early as the design stage? Is it possible to change anything later?

Hotels in historic buildings (Discussion)

A long-term investment… difficult… a bottomless pit… and all that ‘fun’ with the monuments preservation office! Is a hotel project in a historic building worth all the hassle? Or perhaps just the opposite is true: a hotel in a historic building is the only viable concept for the development of such properties. What to do in order to succeed with such an investment? Are old walls and ceilings enough to attract guests – or should you offer something more?

Interiors that fire the imagination (Discussion)

Hotels are now battling it out with each other to have the most interesting and unique interior design. But does having unique furniture, lighting and windows have an impact on the number of guests? Do such interiors help to fill the hotel or just exhaust the investor’s budget? And why are there no ceiling lights in hotels... ?

Segmentation of hotel brands (Discussion)

More brands, more targeting of specific groups of customers, and more variety. How are demographic changes and changes in the approach towards consumers transforming the hotel market? Is there a genuine willingness to stand out from the others in an attempt to encourage new social groups? And why do some brands disclose the identities of their owners but others do not? Who’s right?

Hospitality in the regions (Discussion)

Hotels go where offices go. How hotels in regional cities should and shouldn’t differ from those in the largest metropolises. Where is there still room for hotels to open? And what should be their standard?
